They were genuinely trying to understand how anyone could think humans descended from monkeys. When I explained that we and the current generation of primates all descended from an older ancestor, they understood the point and maybe even accepted it.<br /><br />On the other hand, I suspect <I>Origin</I> is a perennial target at least partially because it <I>is</I> out-of-date.
